No worries! We love introducing women to their first adventure. We'll make sure you feel comfortable and prepared every step of the way. The only problem is…you might find yourself hooked on adventure travel!

Our trips are designed for women of all kinds—single, married, moms, professionals, artists, athletes, you name it! We attract adventurous spirits who love the outdoors and enjoy meeting new people. We come from all walks of life, making every trip a rich tapestry of experiences and stories.

Age is just a number! If you feel young at heart and love adventure, you're perfect for this trip. Our groups typically range from 20 to 50 years old, but everyone's welcome. 😀

Absolutely! Many of our travelers come solo and leave with lifelong friends. We actually encourage you come on your own! (You will find it very hard to be alone, trust me 😝)

We don’t charge single supplement fees; so we’ll pair you with another solo traveler. If you prefer some alone time, single room upgrades are usually available.

You don't need to be a super athlete, but a good fitness level helps you enjoy the trip more.

Having said that, our Amazon Adventure doesn't require a high level of fitness, as a lot of time we will be exploring wildlife in the boat or having free time to relax and connect to the unique environment that surrounds us.

Always remember, our trips are about balance—plenty of adventure mixed with relaxation and fun. 😛

Not at all! Our yoga sessions are for all levels. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a newbie, our instructors cater to everyone. Yoga with Locas Only is about connecting mind, body, and spirit—no need to be a pro!

The Amazon Rainforest, in particular, invites for slower, more meditative practices (humidity is too crazy for a high intensity class!). Also the jungle environment with its soothing sounds will naturally make us want to slow down and go inwards, in our mats as well. 🌿

We keep our groups small and intimate, usually between 10-14 women, including guides. This way, you get a personalized experience and build deeper connections with your fellow travelers. Benefits of Small Group Travel:

We aim to accommodate dietary needs, though some limitations may apply. Detail your requirements on the registration form and we'll do our best to cater to your needs. ☺️ We can usually handle vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets.

For arrival, in Puerto Maldonado airport (PEM):

• For Posada Amazonas and Refugio Amazonas please make sure to arrive before 13:00 hrs.

You will be at the lodge between 15:00 - 16:00 hrs.

If arriving by bus around early in the morning. We will be picking you up from the bus station upon your arrival. From there, we will go to our office in Puerto Maldonado and there you will be waiting for our fixed departure time.

For departure from lodges, you will be back in the city around 10:00 hrs.

• For Posada Amazonas and Refugio Amazonas the boat departs around 8:00 hrs.

If you have a later flight:

• You can wait at our office until the departure. Note only breakfast is included on the last day.

• Add a late check-out with an additional cost. Ask our Locas Only staff to help with this. This will include lunch.

The lowland rainforests of Tambopata lie far enough south of the Equator to provide a cooler, drier winter season between May and October. The general weather conditions are warm and humid (we are in the jungle, after all!)

In Tambopata, the average daytime high temperature is between 78F and 93F (24C and 31C) The average nighttime low is between 66F and 78 F (20C and 24C). Cold Fronts - May through September Cold fronts from Argentina can sweep into southwestern Amazonia and push daytime highs down to 50° F (9° C) and the nighttime lows to 43° F (5° C). Thus, during that season always be potentially prepared for cold and drizzle. Rainy Months - November through April Be prepared for heavy rain that can continue for hours or days. Around 80% of the annual average 3000 mm rainfall occurs during this season.
